2. Eat foods rich in potassium

Alcohol depletes your body of many electrolytes, especially potassium. Potassium plays a key role in both body fluid balance as well as muscle contraction. Low potassium levels cause sore crampy muscles, and can also raise your blood pressure.

Ginger is a natural remedy to relieve nausea, indigestion, and all-around soothes an upset stomach. Ginger tea is a good choice because it also gets extra fluids into your system.

8. No fast-food

I know that a very popular thing to do when you’re hungover is to get greasy fast-food, but it will absolutely make you feel worse! Maybe in the moment you are eating the fast-food it makes you feel good – well fast-forward 3 minutes later and that is probably no longer the case. Whenever you put inflammatory, highly processed unhealthy food into your system, your body is not happy and will let you know by making you feel lethargic, depressed, sick, etc. Plus, if you normally watch what you eat, digging into a very unhealthy meal after a night you already just over-indulged, is guaranteed to give you anxiety and make you feel worse.
